Tar removing fluid or white spirit. Just get the glue off and wash the area straight away.

(Heat it up a bit with a hairdryer and it comes off easier too).

Autoglym do a product called "intensive tar remover" which is fantastic.

Should be easy to get hold of.

depends if its on paint or not as some of the things above may damage it if so, same goes for some plastics

wd40 works well, followed by a suitable degreaser, be it soapy water, brake cleaner, white spirit etc

Another good product is Weldtite cycle degreaser!

Really good and I have never had any issues with it damaging any surfaces.

Hmmm... I've just spilled some super glue on the bonet of my 318i convertible... (switching to a new badge)
Will Surgical spirit work on that? As White Spirit didn't.... :(
Starting to get very worried now...

I'd be very worried too....

Would have thought you 'd have needed to catch that before it dried hard i.e. before the solvents evaporate.

cynoacrylates have a nasty effect on most plastics and coated surafaces and leave a white bloom which is very difficult to get off

try a clay bar and hope it hasn't eaten into the paint surafce

Halfords sell little sponges in net bags, think they are for removing bugs.

I used these with tree sap and bug remover, and it took all the crap off my white sport! 8O Gleaming :D

Great News! Surgical Spirit worked! It removed the dried hard super glue.
It's not back to normal... but I'll take it - considering how bad it was.... result. :D
