restoring leather

Hi all,
just bought some leather seats for me car and need to get something to restore them with.
I have seen some posts regarding liquid leather but I am not too sure which one to go for. The leather I have needs to be dyed as there are some signs of heavy wearing, as well as a good old clean to bring back to their former glory.
I have seen something called Buffalo Essential repair kit on ebay. Has anyone used this before and is it any good or is Gliptone the stuff to go for? The Buffalo stuff is £30, just wanted to make sure if was the right thing before I ordered it.
Hope someone can help.
Cheers,
J

Jason, give them a wash with fairly liquid and water, thenlet them dry and dye them black, all over and evenly.
Then, use gliptone liquid leather. The seats you saw in my car got this treatment.

cheers Paul. Manage to get one of the seats to tilt forward last night with some extra persuasion

.
Just thought I'd see if anyone else has used anything else and would recommend it.

Good work j. The mecanisms are the same as standard seats as far as i know, so it may be worth while just putting new mechanisms on them?! Hope it goes well.

Stu, i bought a dye off ebay, a bit like boot polish. My seats didnt actually need it, but as i had some left over from another set i used some. Its works fairly well, needs working in well though.

I used a Gliptone kit to tidy a set of biege(I call it tan)comfort leather I bought for the 2.7.I was so pleased with the result I bought a second kit for the Daimlers rear seat.Once again I was well pleased.First class service from Gliptone, well written instructions, good product.Recommended.
