Hi Bally its for the front bumper, the whole lot. I knew it wouldn't be cheap. Did you try GSF or Euro Car Parts?

gsf do not do them , the front are 2 piece if you are going to change both then it is expensive, havw seen some thread where slight scuffs can be repaired, I know chip away offer this service so there must be a diy option c76jon may be able to advise better.

I asked about these the last time I was at the dealers, they mentioned that each section (3 for each bumper) were approx Ԛ£15 each.

They are quite cheap actually. I got my front one's from C3 in Streatham for £12 each, original BMW one's.

I think fresh bumer strips amke a huge impact to the condition of a car, as do all other balck exterior trim like the wiper arms, the lower valances, fron lips and clean grills.

They really finish the car off and are worth every penny. The BMW one's are better tho - they've got tighter moulding and are deeper black.

I've refinished loads of them. The closest finish to original is Halfords Satin black. If the scores are too deep to flat right out, then a small smear of filler does the trick. No laquer on mine just the satin black.

If its a chrome bumper car than the rears are rubber and do not refinish well. new rubber is the only way at about the £45 for the complete part. Chrome front parts are ABS plastic the same as a plastic bumper car and are in 3 peices. Nuberplate mount comes off reletively easy but the 2 sides really need the bumper removing as the clips that secure them need to be compressed with pliers from behind to ease them through the slots.

thanks mate, think ill have a go at sanding them then re-painting them. I didnt realise that they were painted, i thought they were just black plastic., untill i looked properly last nite and some of the paints comming off further round. 8O Ill try painting them and if i mess it up ill buy some new ones.

Sorry to jump in here, I'm thinking about doing the same!

Just two questions before I go about it.

1, how would you recommend removing the strips without breaking the clips? (My car's a face lifted one, if that makes a difference)

2, if the clips are slightly broken, is there a way of sticking the insert back in? The rear left insert and the one the width of the rear bumper stick out on my car, If I push them back in they hop out again if I drive it anywhere.

Thanks.
