Its not as easy as what wax, you have to ask is the car used daily , is it garaged . If it is stored and only used in good weather then your chose will be more. I have used Zymol, Swissol, Harly, Autoglym, Mer. The one I recommend is Zaino. My car isnt garaged and is out in all weathers . The Zaino shine lasts. Zymol and Swissol in my opinion does not last as long. l use ZAINO. I have not had to polish my black car since April . My other newly painted other car has had 1 coat of Zaino applied as soon as it came back from the body shop.

Do you know what
I have also done the rounds with car polish including Ziano, but last weekend after having polished her in doors car with Auto Glym,( & i know what everyone thinks about this stuff),
i then decided to give it a go on mine,An unbelievable shine previously unobtainable with any other polish/wax
If its good enough for Aston Martin then it'll do for me

you aint applying the zaino right then
autoglym is pure shite and it doesnt seal the paintwork
what was your method of application and what zaino products did you use

John or is it Jon , i now dont give a castlemaine 4x what you think or say, i've tried the Zaino but fail to be overimpressed.
i know you speak highly of Zaino, but then again Ben3 cabs speaks volumes for Maguires so rather than bang on about how wonderfull Zaino is just let others make their own minds up, because after all i was only offering my own opini

I agree with C76Jon
You cant have not used it correctly, my black car I did Easter weekend and since then all I have done is wash it. It sits in the front garden and is exposed to all the elements. It still highly polished . Meguires is good as I have used it and also used their gold wash but it is not as good as Zaino and certainly does not last as long. Parksie try zaino again.
Just this weekend I have applied a coat of Zaino to my red car and the depth of shine is better than my previous red polish Harly .
Regards
Rob

I would have previously agreed with all of you, & certainly would not havesunk so low as Auto glym for my baby.
However after doing my wifes car with the A G & porter cable i truly could not believe the finish, certainly as good if not supieror to the Zaino treatment, all the talk of white residue after the final clean up, absolutly none

, & using the Porter cable to apply the product makes life so much easier.
What i dont understand is this , we all like to see our pride & joy clean & shiney so it seems foolhardy to acclaim a product that keeps its shine for 6 months when as we all know we clean and polish our bm's on a weekly basis

so it seems to me having tried al l the Zaino's, Zymol's, & swiss oils, stick to whats available in Blighty & give your babies a weekly hand job

Jon
Firstly i dont have a fight to pick with you.
secondly kindly check the content of your to posts for my attention, then see who needs to modify the tone.
thidly its a sad time when a member cannot express their opinion without being shouted down by other seemingly more long standing members
Finally, i do know of your exprience in preparing show winning cars, so why on earth do you not except other show winners have their preferances also
Respecfully Steve Parkes

All john's trying to do is find out why zaino didnt work right for you parksie
John's helped me a lot with my car and everything he has recomended has been 100% spot on.
He talks from experience.

Ben i hear you, Jon has previous advised me on Zaino, & i do respect he knows his stuff!!
However fact is fact the shine on my car right now is most definatly the best its been for a long while
For the record
I have previously purchased Most of the range of Ziano products & followed Jons guide lines, without going through to my garage i cant rember all of the Zaino product codes, but i do know that the overpriced accelerator was not effective at all.
Like i said ,if Auto Glym is recommended by ASTON MARTIN , JAGUAR , BENTLEY & FERRARI then it can't be all bad

Cant argue with that mate, whatever gives you the best result has to be the best product for you

i dont recommend the accelerator either
never advised this ever
zaino is a sealant not a polish or wax
it enhances what you have achieved with surface prep
if you went to your garage after having already applied ag to one car and then done another my thoughts are you are not prepping surfaces prior to application of any product
if all previous products were not removed fully from surface and surface not prepped and all contamination removed then zaino is not being used correctly
if this is the case then you cannot compare zaino with ag
ag is a quick fix
silicone/salt/chalk in a bottle
it is applying the shine not enhancing what you have
dont believe the hype with aston, bentley etc do you think david beckham truly drinks pepsi 24/7
do you honestly think that means anything??
iam interested in how you judge that the accelerator was not effective
what did you expect from it??
strip all the stuff off your paint and then do a back to back.then its a fair comparison
iam not shouting anyone down but what i do KNOW is that used correctly there is absoloutely no comparison between ag and Z
because that is the case i just feel that something between bottle and paint something wasnt right
hey its no biggy for me.if you think ag is the best then fill your boots
but if you have zaino on the shelf Z1,Z3,Z16/Z8 then you CAN achieve better than you have now
i simply just wanted to help
i guess its all down to what you percieve to be outstanding finish
but there is no way i could get what i have on the m3 with ag.no way at all.
ag super resin is an abrasive soyou will find you will have to use it a lot and everytime its removing paint/laquer
yes your opinion is yours.noted
but on your shelf you have the potential for a better finish.that i know for sure
