WARNING: Halfords Alpine White

Basically, it isn't.

More of an Alpine Greyish-Beige. I've not spent a huge amount of time flatting and polishing yet but it's fairly plain that it's not the correct colour match. Worth bearing in mind chaps.

I have had this before with Halfrauds paint. Basicly the wrong paint was in the can. I took the used can back and they replaced it with another can (the right colour).

mine was pretty obvious though, because the can top didn't match the paint in the can.

what do you expect, its been sitting on a shelf for months and paint goes off!!!

just go a to a paint shop and they will make it for you and put it in to spray cans and match up your shade of paint correctly

for example there a 3 shades of dolphin grey , 3 for diamond black
!!!

Paint shop? Never knew such a thing existed for the public.

I'll take the can back to halfods and get some from BMW instead.

i use gils motor factors in glasgow. there best for getting right paint. i used to work for halfords i no the problems we had with paint. then you get a new guy into work thinks he can make paint tins and cans but fucks it up and customer comes back going crazy. DONT BUY HALFORDS PAINT. specialy of the shelf stuff. where i worked we had a paint delivery of cans once every six months inless we were really short.

Mines is Alpine white II and I've just done my wing mirror using a dark grey primer... It's come out a darker tone than the rest of the car!!

What sort of primer is best for Alpine white II?
