Someone in the past has put a simple sidestripe down the sides of my Touring.. however having replaced the door its now not complete and i wanted to remove it anyways..

thing is its not peeling off, only kinda of scratching off if you see what i mean.. whats gonna be the best way to remove it?

So its not paint then mate? If not then the best way is to use a heat gun/hair dryer, but you have to be carefull to gradually heat the paint from a distance as a heatgun on full can damage paint fairly easily. Should come off after awhile though,once its warmed up

Dan, If its an old vinyl stripe, it could be very brittle therfore not peel off.

Best thing to do is heat with a hairdryer (safer than a heat gun but you could use one) and then try to remove off of a warm panel. if you need a hand, drop me a line.

I heated mine, it was brittle, it came off in pieces! Its a pain in the ass job. I used a de-icer tool for the windscreen on mine as its plastic, so didnt scratch the car.

i'd use a kettle of boiling hot water to remove the strip

thats ho wi did mine, took ages as it comes off in small bits, but if u heat it up and scrape it with an old credit card it woll come off easy, abit of tcut to get the rest of the glue off and u will never know it was there
