Alloy Refurbs

Hi,

I would like to get my BBS alloys refurb'd after I get my car resprayed. The problem is that all the 'reasonably' priced refurb places seem to be in Birmingham!

Anyone know of a good refurb place in London that doesn't charge the earth?

Cheers,

DB

Hi,

Well, Scotland is just that little bit further north than B'ham so, no, not much good for me... but hey thanks for thinking of me! :D

Anyone any refurb places in same country as me? Preferably dahn Sarf!

Great, that's like saying you know someone who would do it for free and let their 21yo wife blow me while I'm waiting, but he lives in Osaka, Japan...

Mind you, for that kind of service it's probably worth a drive over!

DA-BEAST - theres a place in hertfordshire near kings langley which is pretty good, £98+VAT for a set of 4, but offer cash and they'll knock off the VAT. They are called BJV.

Hey Beastie,

I've just bagged my first e30 and am thinking of a respray some time in the future, nothing fancy, just back to it's original diamondschwartz to restore it back to its former glory.

Just wondered where you were going to take your baby to for the respray? If you or anyone else have any suggestions for good places in or around London to do the work I'd be interested to hear it.

What colour you going for out of curiosity?

Cheers

Ben

PS. My BBS's could do with a restoration too, previous owner put some serious road rash on - I'll be checking out this BJV place as well...

i just got mine done at lepsons too. i'll post some pics up soon of how they look. although i cant remember if i've got 'before' pics of the wheels

lepsons are based in Gillingham, kent, and they do do a collect and deliver service, mostly from your nearest RSR tyres branch...

So who are THE places to look into around Brum ? I've got 5 BBS with minor kurbing (previous owner) & 1 which'll need weld & m/c on rim. Am thinking A1 Wheel Renovations. Have been quoted 3days, upto £50/rim for polished rim & coloured centres/spokes. INCL borrowing their wheels for the duration. How does this compare as I wanna get on Diamond blk tourer before Gaydon on 20th August.

For anyone interested in BJV's work, here are a couple of pics of the alpinas I had done, they did a good job, but if you are a perfectionist I rekon Lepsons would be the best bet.
