I polished the cab last week after parking outside my house under a couple of silver birch trees,I don't know what drops off them but they made a right mess of my paint work, hence having to polish it.just had a look at the car this morning and the trees have dropped their sh1t a over it again, seriously p1ssed off. Before you all say "why not park somewhere else"there isn't anywhere, what I want to know is there anything on the market to act as a barrier against the sh1t from the trees,I'm not talking about a car cover.

Give it a really good wax coat, or ideally, get the paintwork ceramic-coated. As for the convertible roof, I gather there are products designed to weatherproof it.

Second the wax comment. My driveway has overhanging trees from the treeline along the main carriageway and have the same issue. Trimmed the trees back but that sticky, tar like layer still gets left on the cars.
If it has been waxed well then it is a lot easier to rinse off after a covering. I've recently started using pro-kleen snow foam and that also leaves a nice waxy layer on the body to help as well.
Thanks
