mould on steering wheel

Any way of rescuing ? To good a wheel to discard.

If it won't simply wipe off, you can buy spray-on mould/mildew removers from the likes of B&Q, Tesco, etc.

So basically I need a 're-trim then !.
Any one suggest a trimmer in hearts or north London.

Send it over to PacerPete, he loves licking steering wheels clean, he did at Santa Pod a few years back.

I had treatment for that so it's long gone, hadn't touched the car scince September so it's just plain old damp and dingy mould. Not happy as it's early in the year and the crap weather has not set in yet. Was looking forward to winter side ways action.

You could use a scouring pad to remove it if it's really tough to remove.
I've previously had leather-rim steering wheels develop mould after being left in a garage for a while; usually, it just wipes off with a cloth. Certainly no cause to dispose of the steering wheel!

Some white vinegar on a cloth has worked well for me in the past. Once cleaned and aired leather cleaner and conditioner of your choice.
