Has anybody used this polish before?

An elderly gentlemen who lives up the road from me uses this on his old motor. He always has used it and says he always will continue to.

He drives a 1994 Ford Capri 2.8i and says it works fine for him every time all the time.

He mentioned 'this is what the oldies use' lol and was just wondering if anybody here has also used this stuff and how is it ?

or do you guys recommend anything else?

Mer sounds like a Northern Irish dweller trying to say mirror. :snigger:

Not heard of it, all the old fella's I talk to swear by simoniz. I dont rate it personally... but the oldies think its a gift from god

I use Dodo Juice or Zymol. Both Great... but try zymol 8)

I use it, came across it in a boating context. I'm no detailer but it works for me, I like that you can apply it without having to dry the bodywork after a wash and works well on glass and chrome, as well as painted surfaces.

This is my favourite, very little needed to wax your car, lasts for years, expensive to buy, but per polish cheap. Big plus is no chalk residue.

Ive used this stuff it works well and gives a nice finish however do try stay away from plastic trims across your doors as it leaves white streaks on them and takes forever to clean.

On the bodywork a thumbs up.

smartwax sealant is good stuff, rub on leave for 20mins and wipe with a microfibre cloth

This is a wax though, not a polish as requested about :) 2 very different things

The Mer isnt bad for a hand polish. I would probably prefer to even just use some AG SRP.

Would be far better to be machine polished though :)
