E30 Zone

I have recently got leather seats that are predominately black, i need to change a few things ie the pillers, consoles door cards etc. But i was wondering if i can get away with taking the rear shelf out ...is it possible to dye the shelf? has anyone done this and what did you guys use?

Know need for dye, matt black( rattle can ) on the parcel shelf works well and looks good, a few light coats will do.
