E30 Zone

I've just bought a DAS6 Pro machine polisher, but I've only help my mate use on once about 5 years ago! I've got a compound, polishing and finishing pads.

I was going to wash with dodo juice sour power then clay bar the car. Fine / medium cut the paintwork depending on how much it needs, using mezerna compound or maybe the zaino all in one (polishing pad).Then apply Zaino Z2 pro car sealant with flash cure addiditve - Am i able to use the polisher to apply that with the finishing pad? And finally use Zaino Z8 grand finale stay seal.

Does that all sound ok? Whats the best way to use the polisher (high speeds for fine cutting, slow for heavy? Use the machine in a circular motion?) How safe am I to use the polisher on the painted plastic on the front and rear bumper? I assume I will have to spray water onto the paint while I'm using the polisher to prevent burning?

What menz polish do you have and what pads ?

1 x Menzerna Compounding Pad
1 x Menzerna Polishing Pad
1 x Menzerna Finishing Pad

Menzerna Power Finish
Menzerna Final Finish

I would go with power finish on the polishing pad, 5 pea sized blobs on the pad, spread the polish at the lowest speed and work at speed 5/6 doing small sections at a time working side to side up and down, the pad will go red if the car has no clear so keep the pad clean brushing the surface a tooth brush will do, you should have no trouble on plastics since the da does not generate heat as quick as a rotary, the finshing pad is ok for spreading z2 at a slow speed, and no water is needed with menz polishes. only a rough guide but hopefully it makes some sense

No problem, i can reccomend victoria concours wax it is fantastic on solid red, it is the only wax the my e30 wears. put some pics up when your done.

I've previously used Collinite 476S wax which I love to be honest. I'll have to look at the Victoria wax when I run out

Collinite waxs are good i have all of them in my collection, give VC a go you wont be disappointed.
