touch up paint metallic will it look better or worse?

I have some scratches on my car, down to the white primer, I'm worried if I use touch up paint it may look worse than just leaving the scratches there.
Any advice?
Also if the paint is metallic and I do touch it up, will it blend with any type of cutting polish, or because its metallic will it just stay there and stand out?
cheers

Done carefully it will look better although close-up it'll never be perfect - will be slightly dull without lacquer. Will be softer than the surrounding paint so should blend in when polished.
Dab on a little bit at a time and don't overload the brush - you can always build it up in multiple coats. Have fun.

Use a brush that has a point that is smaller than the scratch to put the color in and the build up the rest with clear coat, the rest really depends on how handy you are really.

Matt86 I was thinking of doing the same thing, esp as small bottles of mauritius blue and lacquer came with the 318 cab when i bought it a few weeks back. Lots of tiny white spots to touch up, and inevitable scratches near the door lock. Yours looks mauritiusblau - (but out of interest is your bumper trim body coloured as opposed to black plastic?).

Hi emma, in the pictures on my signature. The bumper is body coloured on the outside with a black plastic insert in the centre, although now I have the mtech front bumper and splitter, so is now fully colour coded.
Mine is mauritius blau yes, I'm now debating a full respray as this is a old post, and bits of the car need spraying, so think I may aswell get the whole lot done.

Must say mauritiusblau is one of, if not the best cab colours; just got a black hardtop which just looks 'right' with the dark colour too, matching the bumpers etc. What are you doing with your old bumpers?
(btw, emm-aitch is the lame sig I came up with, ie my initials are M and H, and I'm a bloke)

Sorry mate I do apologise I didn't realise.
Also not doing a lot with the bumpers, you are welcome to them if I still have them, pretty sure they are still in my mums garage.
Where you from?
I agree mauritius blau is the best colour, especially when the sun shines on it.
Cheers
Matt
