Scratched rubber bumper inserts

I have been looking around but found no definitive answer. I have a late 325i painted plastic bumper with rubber inserts.

Over the years the corners have become scratched brick walls etc, does anyone know how to get rid of scratches in the rubber?

Tempted to try sanding them then cutting compound.

I had replacement one in the front after some idiot hit my car at parking
90% identical as original but alot cheaper
you can wetsand and spray them satin black, it will hold 2-3 years no probs but after that period they need to be resprayed again

ive got a set mate, used on some is bumpers from a breakr but ok

on my old is, i removed them, rubbed down, and used some plastic filler stuff from halfords you mix and fill, then smooth them down with fine wet and dry paper, primer, wet and dry, then few coats of satin black, and looked brand new

i think i tried ecp, and they no longer sold them, but double check

Cheers guys, I've done this job now. Removed front bumper disassemble not an easy process, then sand, fill, sand and paint with halfords black bumper paint. The results look really good.

I'll save my £250 for something else.

A sand with 600+ wet and dry and damaged areas, then 1000, followed by 2000 all over, then Tcut all over is more than good enough to save the work and outlay IMO...
