Gauges?

I fitted Volts and oil pressure gauges in an ashtray-replacing pod...but wasn't happy with them there. So, I moved them and put back the ashtray, much better (for me anyway)

Anyway, one or two of you said Oil Temp would be the most useful, so fitted this extra gauge too:

Thought I would fit it just under the rev counter - still attached to a set of M3 clocks!!

Pacerpete changed over the rev counter so it remains accurate, I changed over the fuel gauge (but kept the face) and soldered the "dry" joint that makes the flippin' brake pad light so annoying - cleared that up nicely. The M3 sump plug/sensor was swapped when I did the oil/filter recently and wired the gauge into a switched live and away we go.

It's surprising just how long the oil actually takes to get up to full operating temp - 10 miles or so.
I've now got a leather covered double gauge pod I bought from Parker Performance that I will list for sale as soon as I can get some pics (or, when I can find it in the garage...)

Can you get the oil temp of the shelf and retro fit them to normal clocks?
