Seals? As in the rubber seals around the doors, windows etc?

i think he means the shadow line trim or the chrome trim, only a fool would consider painting the rubber door seals.
Yes you can paint the window trim, just make sure you get the right type of paint and key the surface so it dont just flake off

I am doing the line trim at the moment on mine, its chrome but previous owner took a brush and a can of hamerite to it, its a nightmare getting all the old paint off, plus the sanding marks need primer/filler too. then satin black, doing one of the mirror base plates at the same time at thats all knackered.

lol i mean the metal sides under doors that you attach side skirts to ther normally black i thought they were called seals sorry?

Sills.... ok yeas no worries you can colour code them, standard they are matt/ satin black on all cars, just make sure you key them correctly, primer and paint (then lacquer if metallic paint) they take a lot grief on a car, hence the coating and satin black paint.
Be prepared for a lot of touching up if you do colour code them and they will need a very good polish and wax as with the rest of your car (lots of people tend to forget about the sills). Probably better off leaving them as they are and fitting a set of SE skirts (if you don't have any at the moment) and colour code them instead.
