Got my airbrush and just ordered the paint from Paints4U, most of the filler is sorted for rust spots and dents filled. Will post some before and after etc pics, get some opinions of what i have done and the finished result.
Great haveing 086 Black Paint, i can get cellulose paint with lacquer pre-mixed so all i have to do is add thinners, spray and then blend. So much easier than a metallic basecoat, then lacquerr etc, cuts the spray time in half.
If once all complete and compounded/ polished the paintwork comes up ok, i may get a bodyshop just to put 2 or 3 layers of lacquer over the paint, so then any paintwork correction is mearly on the lacquer, not the actual paintwork, its so much easier that way.

I will do, there is some filler sorted the dents, and rust holes etc, but got to wet sand them, prime and then spray, waiting for the paint at the moment, ordered it yesterday, hopefully its despatched today and i get it tomorrow.
Only problem is weather i need no wind to be able to spray the car as i am doing it outside (don't have a garage)

make a make shift tent type thing ? even a beach wind breaker in pots of sand or something, with a big umbrella over top would shield lower parts from wind
why didnt you get the dents done properly rather than just filler them ?

Everything is cost prohibative, they are on the wheel arches too which are a nightmare to remove. easier to fill and paint. I have to re-build the car, replace the sills, 1 patch underneath and a small amount of rust near one of the front suspension turrets all for under £1k. welding alone is at least £600-£800, i have to fix everything else with a £200 budget, already spent about £100 on stuff, still got the thermostat to fix, exhaust rubber mounts and anything else that crops up and to get it through the MOT, all on £100
Really is a tight project. Luckily i can spray, paint correct, detail and some mechanical things.
