Seen that e30's suffer with these,i was servicing mine last week....leant on the scuttel pannel closest to the bottom of the windscreen on the pass side and my palm put a whole through it... the other side has alot of fiber glass over where i think the previous owner did the same... it looks shoddy as hell.. whats best to cover the hole??? and of course respray after.
Thanks in advance

Weld a patch of metal in place. You might have to take out the windscreen as well.

Weld a new scuttle panel in, still available from the dealer IIRC

They're about £50 iirc when I enquired recently.
Mine was rotten at one end and I had it repaired by a bodyshop - screen out, new metal welded in and plenty of wax behind. Not cheap but hopefully should be good for another decade!

They braze the joint, meaning that you need brazing kit to fit new metal, or remove the brazed joints. You can't weld to braze.
