Quick ones for you people!

1) the rear badge (320i on mine) if i take it off, will it leave holes in the bodywork? or are they just stuck on,

2) my BMW badges are fading, i know they are stuck on, and leave 2 holes. but is there somewhere else other than a main BMW dealer where i can get replacement badges cheaper?

thanks

if there not in stock they will be the same price, they knock a little off if you request but it works out the same as you pay for postage where by cotswold send for free over £20 :)

The 320i badge is just stuck on.

The Roundel's, use a flat knife or some thing similiar and slowly wiggly it underneath the bottom of the badges, put a cloth between the knife and paint though! Just edge it up slowly and it pops off, 2 pins hold it in place...

The ones from BMW now are just plastic versions too these days from what I have read, so whats the point in paying the stealer premium if they can be bought elsewhere for the same quality.

Ebay specials can be bought very cheap but you can tell they arent genuine when your up closeor touching them, usually the blue is a wrong shade, but you need to be wearing your geek specs to see it or even care. I had some cheap ones which I didnt like. Replaced the front with a new one from a zoner and looking for a rear.

Try gfs or ecp and see what they're quality is like...

Is the boot badge in two bits?

Yes, same as the front, but the badges them self are different in the way they curve and their thickness.

To remove the 320i badge work some fishing wire or similar behind it until all the adhesive is broken.

Right so the front and rear badges are different?!
I got one for the back off the net but it must be for the front.
Why is it then, lots of sites sell the same badge for both front and back?

This is a valid question I measured the rear and was around 82-84mm from what I can remember but is the front the same size too and also held on with the 2 pins, as I plan to change mine soon too, so would be useful to know, nothing worse than ordering something, getting all excited when it gets there, then it turns out to be the wrng part :(

Cheers
