Guys
Got moss growing on the out edge of my sunroof (I've just bought the car this afternoon so this isn't my fault!).
What's the best way of getting rid of it? Thanks.

pfff

scew driver!! use something that ISNT going to damage ya paint incase you slip, coz it may happen and ure kick ureself. then get some weed killer mix a bit with a little water to water it down and put it on the area that you have had your moss infestation and itll be good
tbh a old stiff tooth brush is all you need moss havent got deep roots plus it wont grow back if you remove most of it as in if you have removed what you can see, and ffs dont use a screw driver

lol so why tell a newbie bad info, not picking a fight just saying, a tooth bush would get rid of 99% of the moss
oh and just to add dont wipe the moss of the paint work etc as its holding grit dirt etc and your get nice scratches int he roof just use a watering can or such like and us the water to rince off the mossin the direction of the side of the car

no no im not saying its the wrong way, just saying if this guy goes of and uses a screw driver and damages the rubbers or puts a hole though a bit of rust or marks the paint he will be back on here going mad on a non-safe metiod that could of been saved by saying use a tooth brush, thats all my logic was

Remove the rubber seal(it's in 2 parts) and soak them in warm water and fairy liquid for 5 minutes then give them a light scrub to remove the moss. Place them near a warm source to dry, then refit

Chaps and Chapesses!
Bloody hell! I step away from the PC for a half hour and World War 3 has broken out over my moss question!
To be honest I'd thought of the screwdriver method but as I'm such a cack handed numpty I was bound to slip and put a 2" gash into the paint work so I was hoping for alternative suggestions which I got!
Hadn't thought of weed killer but that's a very good suggestion.
Plus all the other ones too.

I assume it growing from the draught excluder round the edge of the sunroof panel. The best and safest way I found was to spray on a bit of diluted all purpose cleaner, leave to soak for 5/10 mins then jet wash it all off, no contact neccesary, certainly got it all of mine.

spray traffic film remover over it (if the car is not red) and use the pressure washer on it only takes seconds to do
