I'm looking to replace a damaged 320i badge on the back of my lovely new E30.
Could anyone advise on effective adhesive to use for the new one? Hints/tips for a professional finish?

New badges are supplied with adhesive already in place. Just peel off the backing, and stick it on.

Ian.

This one was off ebay, so it's not new - can you buy genuine brand new badges straight from BMW?

hiya pal the tape you should use is "double sided foam tape"
you can get it from most car spare shops or off ebay, thats what we use in the motor trade,
make sure the badge is clean and stick it to the tape then cut out with a blade,
clean the area you are sticking to with thinners to make sure its free from wax or polish!! (or it wont stay on)
heat the glue up on the tape with a hairdryer and stick on, your done.

Fair enough, so not exactly damaged then - they will degrade after a few years

I'd get a new one then from the dealers, complete with sticky back
