Will the Gliptone cleaner/conditioner treatment colour the brown worn parts of a bolster back to grey? Or will I have to use a dye on these areas first?
Does anyone know what dye/product will colour or repair these parts on grey leather...? I've read on other posts that the best thing to do is send off a sample of the leather and they can match the colour. Just wondering if anyone has done this already and have a colour reference number for the dye etc or have used something off the shelf that matched?.
thanks for your help,
Reggie.

I got a kit from buffalo on ebay and they give you 4 shades of grey and you mix them yourself, it is quite hard but worked for me. You get filler for cracks and everything, not bad at all.

Reggie,
I first came across Gliptone when i wanted to change the colour of my E30 sports interior from beige to black. Kit cost around £70 to do the lot. Preparation took ages and colour had to be air-brushed on in about six coats. Worth the effort though and after about four years needed only minor touching in was needed.
Also got an E36 Evo with light gray leather Vadar seats that never stay clean and there's wear starting to show on the drivers seat. Spoke to Gliptone direct for a smaller kit and had to send a sample from under the back seats for matching the colour. I asked for a reference number as there was no spare frabric for future purchases, but never got one. Used the kit as directed but never been as successfull as the E30 interiour - particulally in the hotter weather when black marks show on the creases - could be the colour wash can't stand the heat.
