Changing boot badge - how?

I'm sure that I have read somewhere on here that a small length of plastic fishing line is perfect for 'cheese - wiring' the badges off.
I also believe that they are self adheisive so that's how you'll get your new one on.

I'm sure fuzzy is correct - maybe I was confusing the issue by thinking about boot badges (i.e 325 or whatever the rest of them are)

thats how it is on my touring tailgate anyway, id assume a normal bootlid would be similar but then im assuming he meant the bmw roundel and not the 325 badge or whatever in which case they are self adhesive .

Yer model badge is adheard to the bootlid and the roundel is fasend with two pins threw the boot and little rataining rings pushed over

Sorry. Pushed over the ends. Whenever I have changed I have cut them of from inside the boot and housed rubber bands in there place.

...I am refering to the circular boot badge with the Beemer badge on it. By the way do you know that the origin of the blue and white emblem goes back to the days when they made aero engines and that this is a representation of a spinning propellor. The company were told to stop making aero engines after WWII.

The name-change to Bayerische Motoren Werke compelled management to devise a new logo for the company, therefore the famous BMW trademark is designed and patented at this time. However, they remained true to the imagery of the previous Rapp Motorenwerke emblem (which was designed by Karl's brother, Ottmar Rapp). Thus, both the old and the new logo were built up in the same way: the company name was placed in a black circle, which was once again given a pictorial form by placing a symbol within it. The inner area of the Rapp logo was decorated with the head of a black horse ”“ "Rappe" in German. By analogy with this, the blue and white panels of the Bavarian national flag were placed at the center of the BMW logo. Not until the late 1920s was the logo lent a new interpretation as representing a rotating propeller. The BMW Trademark, called a "roundel", was submitted for registration on the rolls of the Imperial Patent Office, and registered there with no. 221388 on 10 Dec 1917. The trade mark was intended for the following goods: "Land, air and seagoing vehicles, automobiles, bicycles, accessories for automobiles and bicycles, vehicle components, stationary engines for solid, liquid and gaseous fuels and their components and accessories"
