It took a year for the engine, i've had 3 resprays and thinking of another and the interior and ICE took months. It's a nightmare wiring 10 screens and that much ICE and then making sure it all works as well. It's a shame cause i'm so busy with work it sits in the garage for weeks at a time. I just dont have the time to drive it. I'D SELL IT IF I COULD, BUT HOW MUCH WOULD YOU SELL A CAR LIKE THAT FOR AND TO WHOM! :?

Hi Anton - fantastic work there!

Nice to see you've utilised the existing kickwell speaker positions - not a doorpod in sight.

hey man,
thanks . its all designed for acoustics and sound quality..
the car scored 358points in the PRO division of iasca sound quality competition.thats almost 80%
Stage height,width,depth
sub bass, midbass, midrange, high frequencies
center, left of center, right of center, far left, far right
tonal accuracy, ambience, spaceousness..

all properties that are scored on.

The equipment used btw.

5.25" midwoofers are KEF, they are taken out of KEF CODA 7 bookshelf speakers(won bookshelf speaker of the year 1998 if i can recall)
tweeters are swedish by DLS, the T25 reference series.

for the subwoofer its a JLAUDIO 10W1V2
then the JLAUDIO 300/4 slash series amp as seen in the picture
source unit is NAKAMICHI CD400

both the cars spoken of in this thread are pretty amazing to say the least. i've seen bootyman's car at max power 2005 and was blown away, its mental! i'm going to be doing an install on my iS in the summer and i'm trying to get some inspiration! i'l be enlisting the help of my carpenter friend to make an install in the boot to house a pair of 12W3v2 subs with a 600w mono jbl amp plus a nice mtx 300 w amp to run 6.5" alpine components up front. i want to make some builds for the kickpanels and any advice will be useful as i've not used fibreglass inside a car before!!

Hey anton,

How did you crossover the speakers? Actively or passively? I am considering using some scanspeak woofers and tweeters in my next install.. In fact I have some KEF KAR tweets, Dynaudio dome mids and DLS woofers at the moment which I intended on fitting with a very trick KEF active crossover I got hold of. Now liking the idea of the scanspeaks after making some home speakers with their units.

Nice install dude..
