Depends on the price bud, i couldnt see one, dont spend more than £60-70 on one though, mutant do some sweet amps for this money and above. Dont believe the 400watt BS either, its peak power!!!!!
if its 2 channel then:
200watt/channel peak
100watt/channel RMS=about enough to run a decent set of 6x9s
if its 4 channel then:
100watt/channel peak
50watt/channel RMS= just enough to run front and rear components
HTH

clubfx2: ul get in trouble selling ur amp on here mate
Alex: What head unit do you have?? are you doing a big system or just head unit, amp, and speakers?? more info needed to be able to help

tweeters will make a difference but not really6 worth it on their own bud, get some components up front (13cm bass cones and separate tweeters) and some coaxials (13cm bass cone with tweeter integrated) in the back, that would be a good first step mate

personally i wouldnt be buying one of those amps,
dont go by any of the power figures, spend as much as you can on each part of the system, like satying do you really need to indvidually am the speakers or could you spend abit more and get a better quality headunit?
i did my girlfiriends car with consited of 13cm mtx thunder components up front and some 13cm mbquartz co-axle speakers out back. this is all being run of the headunit which is a 200 alpine headunit and it will give alot of stereo's in alot of car stereos where people spend twice as much as we did on her car.
my car runs the same speakers except i have the top Alpine headunit in my car and the differnce is amazing. but i want to go louder and cleaer so im going to be getting myself a decent quality 4 channel amp. you will find that the more you spend the lower the power ratings, but as i said earlyer big power figures dont mean alot.

A better option would be a set of 2 way components(5 1/4" or 13cms) for the front with the tweeters mounted in the original tweeter pods and the mid/mid bass drivers in the footwells, then worry about what to fit in the rear.
Thats a good plan could you advise me of any good 2 way components for the front can you get any good ones around the £40 pound mark
seen these but not sure if the tweeters would fit in the tweeter pods

Before you spend any money on the speakers, head down to your local car audio specialists,(even, dare i say it,Halfrauds) don't just go to 1,have a chat with as many as you can, preferably 2 or 3, more is better and ask there advice and listen to the speakers on there demo stands
Even better if they have a demo car or 2
Sit in them and have a listen to there systems(probably hi end set-ups) but it'll give you an idea of what'll sound good and what won't
Let you ears decide what's best for your budget
Tweeter pods are a good starting point and so would be the MB Quart tweets you mentioned
Just make sure you have a high pass filter in-line to the tweeters.

Hads a look at the Kenwoods comps and i'm guessing the tweets might be a bit big to fit in the tweeter pods
They could, however be surface mounted onto the original flat black plastic mirror blanking plates, either screwed, bolted, superglued or siliconed
I still reckon it would be bestter to listen to several setups 1st before handing over £Â£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£ for your speakers

I'm sure there are some other pretty good ones near the £40-£50 mark
However, I'm unable to comment on these at this time(without actually hearing them) as i've been using the same MB Quart and Alpine speakers for years, coz I like them.
However,I shall be introducing some old skool RF mids and infinity tweeters into my system at some point later in the year.
In your position and budget, I'd be inclined to stick with the more mainstream brands eg Kenwood/Alpine/Sony/MB Quart/ and possibly Vibe(they have some nice 2 way comps for about £50 with kevlar cones at the mo)

Are you going to put a big sup in in the future ? if you are then you wasnt as mentioned on here decent front speakers with seperate tweeters and some 5 1/4 ones with built in tweeters in the rear but if you are going to stay without an amp just get some decent 6x9s in the rear if you get some decent ones they will be bassy enough
i had 2x 100w Infinity 6x9s in the back of my old capri along with some 5x4 speakers in the door cards (to fit behind standard grills) first off i had them all running off the headunit and the sound was fairly good sony headunit with 4x50w rms outputs but then i put a 2x 80w rms amp in to run the 6x9s and the sound was really good deffinately loud enough (even over a completely straight through exhaust system)
i think the 6x9s were about £50 in a sale and i got the amp free lol

if your going to be fitting a sub you dont want to be fitting 6x9's as it will be pointless and imo they dont sound great anyway. put some 5 1/4 co-axles in the back shelf.

First off, don't buy any of the unbranded cheap amps from ebay or anywhere else. You'd be better off with something 2nd hand. You can pick up a nice 2x50w rms apline, kenwood, JBL etc for £20 - £40, and it will knock the socks off those chinese cheap amps.
BTW, those amps claim 400w, but only have a 5A fuse! Using generic figures, and 14.4v input, the actual power is about 21w rms per channel - and that's being generous. Probably no better than headunit power.
This is what's inside them:
As for comps, I haven't heard a huge selection recently, but these are quite often recommended as good value on other ice forums:

Hope that helps.
