Info/Advice needed for sound system installation

Hey there ppl,
I am going to be setting up my sound system with my Dad in the next week or so and was wondering if I can get some advice with how to go about it.
I have the following to install,
Component speakers, 5 1/4" Front, 2x crossovers, 2x tweeters
Amplifier
12" Sub in Box
If I can get some info on how to best set all this stuff up that would be great, its just we haven't really got much experience so it would be good to know what to expect etc.

Very crude, but here's a pic that shows how to install the amp, its alot easier than trying to explain in writing.

what type of amp do you have? if it's just a two channel then you should run your sub off that as per diagram above, and run your speakers straight off the head unit. If it's a four channel amp then run the front speakers off the front channel of the amp and the sub off the rear channel.
If your head unit is good enough it's easier to just run in-cab speakers off the head unit and sub off amp.

Easier yes, but almost never as good! Even the best-amped headunits just don't have space for a proper amplifier, so virtually any external amp will be a step up.
Looks good... do you know if you can bridge 2 of the channels to effectively make a 3-ch amp? If you can't, don't be tempted to run just the sub off it at the expense of the fronts!

Not sure exactly what bridging it or how to do it,
but I took a picture of the back of the amp.
It says Left Front Right and then says bridged either side.
What is bridging and how is it done?

It's basically using 2 of the channels as a single channel - & it looks like your amp can do it. That means you'd use 2 of the channels for the front speakers, & the 3rd & 4th channels
bridged as one channel for the sub (use more of the amp's power). To connect it up like that, you just connect to the Left +'ve & Right -'ve or vice versa - basically where it says 'bridged' on the amp!

Good stuff
Replied on your other post, but the bolts to separate the spoiler are visible underneath - can't remember anything difficult about getting it apart!

Is it hard to install everthing? Im wandering about wiring really and where it goes etc?

When connecting up the sub in bridged mode connect the negative lead to the LEFT channel and the positive lead to the right channel
Don't ask me to go into detail about it
It's all to do with the bass being concentrated on the left channel when the original track was recorded
