I cant complain about the set I bought.
They makes the road ahead 'look' brighter by blocking out the blue.

I got my latest bulbs from powerbulbs.com. They do Philips and Osram (both known quality manufacturers) and their own brand, and they do blue ones of all of them too.
I can't comment on the blue bulbs, but I got Philips Vision Plus which have a slighy blue tint to the glass and are definitely whiter than the Halfords Super Brilliance bulbs I had in before (I've put those in the main beams now).

Yeah go for the Phillips ones, Ive got the blue vision ones and for the money its quite a noticable improvement.

hello mate i got the ones from ebay,Item number: 130163740400, ive found them to improve the light, a noticeable difference , they fit fine i've had no probs.

I fitted osram silverstars (i think) and couldn't see any difference at all.

Try autobulbs direct.....

Change as many as you want. But if you're upgrading you want to be doing either a pair, or all four.

Them cheap nasty bulbs are NO comparison with the "proper" HID kits

Why spend £25 on replacement bulbs when you can get yourself anice HID Kit for about £70(have heard of some going for round about £50)

They are worth the extra initial outlay IMO

Drove my 316 for the last time on monday....couldn't believe how bad the driving lights are compared to (what i'm now used to) HID lights. I have 10,000K fitted which isn't even the brightest, but there was a massive difference between them and the normal halogen bulbs!

1st mod i would do to any car i buy!

i bought osram silverstars and they made a big difference imo.. only £12 also.

Think il prob get some hids after christmas, just got phillips blue vision bulbs and for 15 sheets you cant really go wrong, nice difference.

Just wait till the 1st time you use your HID's at night...then you'll see a difference...no halogen bulb can compare!

10,000 is not a measure of brightness, it's a measure of colour temperature, considering tungsten halgoen are in the regions of 3500K which is why they are far more yellow. And HID's are discharge lights meaning different temperatures creating different colours/shades of light

Yes i know that, but 10,000K is a much richer bluer colour than say 6000K or 4300K which would a produce a whiter and also a brighter light.

Your correct in saying it produces a richer bluer light but not necessarily brighter light. The wattage from the discharge remains the same no matter what colour temp you purchase, it,s just the appearance that changes, so it may/can appear brighter. 6000K tends to be the point where the beam light will appear no further. Anything beyond that is usually just cosmetic.

Precisely, when i bought mine i was unsure what to get, and got the 10,000K as i wanted a rich blue light similar to the light you get on prestige cars.

Having seem mine, my bro had to get the same on his cab.

If i do buy another set however i'd probably go for 6000K or 8000K to see how different it is.

I've been told that all standard lights on the new prestige cars use 6000K, and have a tinted projector lense, which is what produces the purple-blue-white colour that they produce (as they come closer to you).

That said though, my lights look a real rich blue from far, but close up they look alot whiter....not too dissimilar to how prestige cars look purple/blue from far, and as they come closer the light gets whiter.

Completely agree, to re-create a luxury car i think they look the bees knees an not meaning to take anything away from you or what you have bought! At the end of the day anything is better then standard

The only reason I posted what i did was because your statement was incorrect (I study lighting for my degree)
