Sound deadening

I have ordered my new speakers for the fronts. 5.25 so a direct replacement.

I have heard that it's best to fill the space behind the speaker with sound deadening material. Is this the best thing to do?

Yeah, you want some dynamat style sound proofing (self adhesive sheet) and stick it on the panels where you can!!
Saying that, i haven't got round to doing mine yet so i'm not sure how much of it you can get to down there, so not sure if some spray stuff might be better!!

Would also help sound quality if you fitted/mounted them in a stronger, more rigid mdf ring!!

I'm sure others will come along with better info!!

there is a cheper way, go to wickes and its like lead flashing stuff it comes in a roll you need to get the hi contact glue as well its just as good as dynamat but a lot cheaper and you get more for your money, i had to sound deaden one of fuels dodge challengers with the stuff when i worked for them it works a treat i have to get some so i will get the name of it over the weekend
