How do i de chrome my 316i

I've seen a few de chromed e30's and would like to de chrome my 316i, how do u de chrome the car? can i do it myself if so is it difficult? or do i need 2 take it 2 a professional?

A few people have been experimenting with black tapes / vinyl etc., but perhaps the easiest way is to source the trim from a de-chrome car & replace.

Gutter strip pops off more easily that you'd expect. Start at the front.

Door tops will lever & persuade off, easy to damage though. Do it with the windows fully down.

Rear windows are swapped complete.

'Kink' trim behind rear windows will pop off.

The only specialist tool I use to get trim off is a wooden spatula :)
