Help! I have gone and bought some Sony Brookland series 6x9's, and they are too deep and slightly too wide to fit on the parcel shelf.
Does anyone know of a company that does a small shelf for them to sit on, or shall I make my own??
Any help much appreciated
Cheers

is it possible to make some pods out of MDF to sit them on? you could either fibreglass them in to shape then spray them or cover with fabric to match the interia, other than that you could make a MDF parcel shelf, i have one for mine but i dont know if it was made by somone or a company as i rescued it from a scrapper, sounds the tits with a big port hole in the middle

pm Eko, as i aquired a pair of pods off him. he may know where to get them from.
ill get pictures of mine up later, they are only rings that the speakers sit in. i had to make them tilt so the magnet would clear the dip in the metal work under the shelf itself. and yes mine are made from MDF .

Cheers guys, I am rather tempted to make my own, probably quite a task though. I'll see how much pods are.
Many thanks for your help

I think you are better off making a complete shelf rather than pods at least that way you can always replace the original shelf instead of cutting ugly holes in it
Whaen you make a shelf you have to raise the whole shelf up not just the speakers, what i meen by this is take 1 piece of MDF (as thick as poss) for the top then build downwards so you have clearance for the speaker magnets
You should be ok going level with the top of the mounds on the original shelf (where the rear seat belt come from)
