6 1/2" vynal door pods

finished them the other week but forgot to post them up.

made them from ply wood then stretched some vynal over them, what you all think? still in keeping?

there not actualy sony speakers there Vibes but the covers looked far to moden so i swoped them for these.

look tidy mate, u can tell their vibe by the tweeters.

Dont look to bad m8 but one thing i would do personaly is take the tweeter out and paint the surround black..stands out too much IMO

I'd go along with Jamz as it would look more stealth, having said that im classed a sth eking of bling with all the chrome on my cab :bling:

i dint make any drawings or i would give you some! Soz

Basicaly i took the pocket bit of the door drew round the back to get the template for the back of the pod that sits next to the door then drew round the other side to get the side facing towards the car and then added the bulge on the top of each template i drew To make it all line up. Then i just off set the hole lot by the depth of the speaker + abit. :cool:

Think about the depth of the speaker when you buy them, or they might hit the seat if there to big! :cry:

That looks nice and neat, has it been stiched? i folded all mine then glued and stapled it to the Back :D

I bought mine from placey and i can vouch for the quality...i covered mine in accoustic carpet as i could not match the vinyl properly

as it is a vert i had to cut down the grab handles ( higher sill)

its not the grab handle ..its the sill stengthening bar that makes the door pocket come higher by about 2"so it must be a bit smaller than the salloons
