Anybody want a sub + amp for their boot?

I've defected to the world of E36 M3's now, not long after I had a local guy build me a 12â€a sub (I think) and amp into a nice big box covered in dark grey carpet, which slots in behind the rear seat in the boot, and stretches the full width of the boot. Lovely sound, but it DEFINITELY won't fit in the M3, as they don't have boots.
Do you think anybody here would be interested? I had thought about cutting the box up a bit to make it fit mine, but I don't suppose that would be a good idea...
If I had any idea what it would be worth I'd put it in the “For Saleâ€a section...
Thanks all

Does it use the full height of the boot space? I'm assuming it does, so it's no good for my cab! But I'm sure someone'll be interested, and as it was custom made for an e30 I can't see anyone objecting to you putting it up for sale on here...
How's the E36 btw?

Cheers mate —a I'll take a pic. Don't think it goes right to the top —a it's wedge-shaped, so that would leave it with a knife-edge at the top, if you see what I mean.
The E36 is brilliant. I'll always have a soft spot for the E30s —a had mine for 5 years, and went through the wars —a but this machine produces 315bhp and is FAST. Not sure it handles as well as my old 325 which was lowered on Sport suspension though!

Good stuff. That's what I'd expect from an E36 m3 tbh - a bit more of a blunt instrument, but all good all the same!

Expensive to run though I'd imagine? I'll have one (or an e34 m5) sometime...
Would be interested in a pic (& measurements?) for sure - I could do with tidying up my boot! But I won't hold out too much hope - there's a fair bit less space there in a cab.
Cheers

i'd be interested mr Hogweed!
hope your enjoying the new hero chariot.
One question is it secure or has means to be in the boot? i'd put it in the alpina and that gets thrown around the bends a bit. Can it be fitted removed without too much aggro?
How much did it cost u? what make is the sub/amp?

Hi guys.. nice talking to you all again… sniff… it fits quite snugly between the sides, if you see what I mean, and it never moved when I chucked it about, but no, it's not fixed. You could put a couple of simple brackets at the top though.
The sub and amp are marked SPL X.
I haven't got the box the sub came in, but the guy who built it gave me the box for the amp. It says:
SPLA 450 watts
Mosfet circuitry
Bridgeable
2-ohm stable (stereo)
Subwoofer crossover switch
Adjustable gain control
Thermal protection
Short circuit protection
Soft Turn-on circuit (comes on with the stereo)
Low level input
Gold plated RCA jacks, power and speaker terminals
Think the speaker's a 10â€a job. Amazing thump through the car though —a I can't imagine wanting any more, but then I'm very old!

Not too bad to run —a actually uses less petrol than the 325! And it's MUCH quieter and more refayned. I love it to bits. Had it remapped recently and dyno'd at 315bhp @ 7500 rpm. Doesn't half shift. And you can pick them up cheap now.
You can pick spares up from scrappers etc cheap too, so overall not too bad expense-wise! You DO have to look after them though —a any scrimping on oil quality, or servicing, thrashing when cold etc and things like the Vanos can explode at a cost of something like £1500 to replace.
