I heard the motorised/flip out screens won't work very well in e30's which is why I havn't got one, quite fancied one a while back with sat nav but that's alot of money for something to take a risk on. Apparently the screen fauls on the indicator switch. Anyone had any experience with this?
Ben.

yep, i have a motorised one. it fouls the indicator stalk but you can just put the indicator in parking light position, and it works fine. or just fit a panel from an m3, so clock/obc is on drivers side and screen on passenger side.

This is the best way of doing it IMO, looks orignal so a quick glance doesn't give it away, also confuses people at shows that know E30's

Dan
is standard m3 centre piece
just wondering
how much of the stalk stem would you have to cut down to make the screen clear it??
surely it cant be that hard to do??
i have a broken stalk somewhere might have a play sometime

Just the little center piece, heater controls, obc and stereo.
Needs a bit oftrimming in places to get it to fit, but well worth it, nice lcear view of the screen unlike in the normal position.
