Blaupunkt Memphis - Amp Wiring (Component and Sub)

I'm going to be good and try this in the correct place first and hopefully it'll be noticed.
I'm going to be fitting a Blaupunkt Memphis in my chromie, while all the interior is out this is the perfect time to start running in the wiring.
For the speakers I'm going to be using a set up that's worked very well in a couple of other cars (inc my old 318iS).
Boston Audio Mids & Tweeters with crossover filters.
10" AudioBahn Sub
2 Genesis Stereo 60 amps.
I'm not going to bother with rear speakers, only way it'd be worthwhile is if they were amped as well. This very setup has been in two cars and you couldn't even here the rears in either car with them powered straight from the headunits. The speakers I'm using were one of the best on the market 10yrs ago and very expensive so are well up to the job.
What I need to know though is how to set this up with the Memphis as it's not got the outputs modern units have (all the stuff I'm using used to be powered off a central processor for a full ICE system so 'm starting the wiring from scratch here). I think I've seen mention of using the 8 pin Din socket for the Sub, will this work?
As for the component speakers, how do I wire them up to use the phono input on the amp? The Memphis uses little two pin plugs for each audio output, F&R L&r.
This is the back of a Memphis (top)
Something I found on the zone for a Memphis

Yes

Looks to plug up to it too, although I didnt go into much detail as was looking for other bits and spotted it all.
The loom I have also have length to run to the back and plug into the Blaupunkt oem amp I have too that sits in the passenger rear wheel arch near the aerial spot.

I'll try and nip over tomorrow. Not really interested in the amp so hopefully that can be separated.

I'm not clued up in any way on amps & subs...
But I've got a memphis in my 325i, with the original manual, if any information from that may help...?
Maybe not, just worth mentioning.

You need this

but this is what I can give you anyway and I believe the 8 pin can be bought online from alpine.

A picture of the main loom would be of more benefit actually Ollie.
I've got one of those Robert, nothing to plug it into though, the car has never had a stereo fitted.

The male connections at the bottom of the unit, 3 of them go to the accessory socket. 1 goes to the aerial.
Speakers are on a seperate loom.
The 8 pin sockets do nothing on my set up.
I have got a loom from the accessory socket that is out of the car, if a picture of that would help as well...?
I also bought another memphis for my 635, that did come with a lead from one of the 8 pin sockets, but I cant remember what the connection was like on the other end, as I never used it.

The loom to the accessory socket is what I'm after Ollie so a picture of that would be great.
I thought the 8 pin socket on the bottom was the aerial , sure that's where it plugged in when I used it on the touring. Saying that the pic I've posted says that is CD in put, doesn't look like an aerial socket either
Think Barry has said that the upper 8 pin socket is what you can use for the sub.

From memory, there is a right angled adaptor that fits into a socket on the left side of the back face, that is for the aerial.
Oh, do you need a loom then...?

Yea, I remember it being a right angled adaptor for the aerial. Not got the HU to hand to checkover where but that makes sense.
Yea, need a loom to get it up and running then after that to workout how to get the amps hooked up. A mate that works for Halfords has told me you can get an phono adaptor which you crimp the speaker wires to to get a phono output for the amp, still trying to find such a thing.

Think something like this might be what I'm after for the speakers;

Ollie, the wire going off to the aerial, I'm assuming that's for if you have a power aerial? I'm going to be using an internal aerial so might not need that.

Been trawling through posts, luckily Barry has posted quite a lot on various threads about how to set this up to use with amps.
From what I've read I need one of these for the sub;
I've also seen Barry say you can use a splitter and use the same output for the components as well so I wouldn't need the device I posted above.
I've also found this cable that I think I could use for the IPOD input in the CD input socket instead of the socket on the front. I'd still run the wire so it comes out under the heater controls to sit the IPOD infront of the ashtray but it'll just look neater.

Let me know if the above ipod input works. I have the wire for the front but its not ideal

Will do, I can't see why it wouldn't since it'd be using the CD input. I used the front mount when it was in the touring (the lead i had was too long really) and it was fine but a neater alternative would be nice.
I have actually got the cartridge fed CD player to go with the Memphis but there's nowhere to fit it in the E30.

cartridge fed CD player
Is it the right era? could you not mount it in the boot where the amp's where usually fitted and fit the amp behind the dash?

That the one! I'm never going to use it so not going to bother messing with it. The crossover are going behind the dash already and the amps will be better off in the boot where the battery will be.

Exactly, if you're using an ipod/iphone you'll never use a CD player.
