i have a m-tech 2 wheel which although it's nice, could do with being deeper (eg closer to me)

the probelm is i'm a lanky git so have the seat a long way back but i want teh wheel closer for better control (usually when actually using the rear wheels to steer!)

is there a bmw wheel that will fit that is closer?

i could fit a momo and then make up a very simple spacer but i like having something that looks factory fitted...

my alpina seems to be slightly closer to me, but they are a bit rare

i'm 6'1 but i have the seat as far forwards as it will go, plus tilted upwards. Closer the better for racing! You should be able to put your wrists on the steering wheel, with your arms full extended, so hands dangle in front of wheel.

I was taught this by a bloke who was paid to teach people with exotic cars how to powerslide their cars properly! he thought it was one of the best jobs! i agreed totally!

the rule of thumb that i go by is to be able to have a 90Ԛ° angle on your elbow while driving.

regarding the alpina wheel, i like them but i'm not convinced they actually suit the e30... it's a personal taste thing. i reckon they would really look good in an e21 though as they're a more 'classic' style.

the bmw breakers that sold me my m-tech 2 (for Ԛ£50) also had 2 alpina wheels in stock! (and about 5 m-tech 2s and about 10 m-tech 1's!!!)

Hi Gareth. Never looked at the Styling section before. Interested to hear about the breaker with all the steering wheels. I changed my MTech I wheel to an Mtech II and found it much more comfortable to use. I thought it was going to be smaller than the Mark I but they are actually the same size - 390mm. I've since discovered that there are two sizes, a smaller one at 370mm. I'm looking for one of these in top condition and was wondering if they might have one as they seem to have a large selection.
Do you have their number?
