Tech 2 kit, DIY smoke some smiley head lights rather than Angel eye things, they look awful and will be out of fashion in a few months if they arent already.
HID kit work well with E30 lights although I'm not a fan.
Looking forward to the pics so get them up.

HID kit is a good lighting upgrade whether you want it for style or not its still good for night time vision.

I thought HID's are illegal to fit unless the car has self levelling and headlamp washers? Which clearly from this era, these cars never had them!

yeah i have been told this but the majority of the people i know with HID's havent got self leveling lights and never had any questions asked, if i go that way i suppose i'd have to go back to standards for MOT.

Not sure about self-levelling but the headlight washers were definitely available for E30's.

Well then clearly the place doing your MOT isn't doing its job properly. They are illegal to fit on to a car to replace halgogen bulbs thats a fact.

Still irrelevant as its not legal to fit them to any E30.

The eye brows make it look sad.
All it needs is a new front lip and some 15" bbs
Are you changing the wheels?

Pretty much this. Love the colour. Those wheels are horrible.
A good clean is what this car needs.

Are they a straight fit on then? They'll look much better than the wheels currently on it. I know its the norm and it may look like most other E30's, but there is a reason they are on so many, they make them look spot on everytime...

For what it's worth, never been questioned on mine & been through several MOT's a different places!!!
Running my HID's behind smoked hellas!!
First time seeing that link too - I wonder if the quality of the kit changes things?? Perhaps some are better than what was available in 2006 and are acceptable?
I know some are too bright to be road legal, which results in a tint to the colour!!
My old headlights had failed years back on the 'pattern' but since HID's were fitted, they have only ever needed slight adjustment on the aim!!!
Last garage actually commented how good they were - and they've got to be safer 'cos I can see where I'm going now when it's dark!!!

Really nice car but the eyebrows and wheels have to go vauxhall wheels won't fit without a spacer (wrong offset) even though the stud pattern is right! You'll find they are an ET35 or 38 (stamped on the back) you want and ET20 or thereabouts.. They will go on but they'll sit right under the car and possibly catch on full lock!
