they are going to scrub EVERYTHING! 10j's on the front will be horrible! I've got 9's and they just fit..
offset is going to be a major issue too.. the rear arches will need much work! personally I don't see the point in going that wide on banded steels.. you are going to make the car handle like a bucket of crap.. and forget sitting it on the deck.. tyres are going to be a problem too as you are getting into the stupid expensive 235 / 45 16 territory with a big stretch.. (do they even make them?) I'd talk to an arch flaring company first and then speak to someone you know running big rims! check out some wheel and stance forums is my best advice..

yeah they have been made there on ebay atm tyres are allready on them i was just wondering i think the offset is -9 is that going to be a huge problem and i heard something about old golf archs the plastic 1s being ok on e30 archs for extra width do you no if this is true or not?

CHeers tony :)

sounds pretty ridic! possibly get the thing properly flared.. IMO placcy arches will look pants and i've personally never heard of it! what tyres are you going to be running?!

-9? er.. that's going to stick out like a bastid!

11j will quite possibly suck hugely!! Anything is possible really but you will be needing some radical arch work and large tyre bills. King Cruizer has fab'd metal arches and there is another Zoner who's been around a while (his name escapes me at present) who runs plastic screw on arches and they do look ok. BUT he's not running 11j (King C is running big width though)

I'm crap on offset some someone like leeparkes or Rav will be able to offer advice on this- pm them.

I'm running 9j rears with slightly rolled arches and very slight stretch and it's liveable but not practical.

Iv 9.5j rears and 9j fronts and its a fair tight squeeze.

11j is not possible with standard arches anyway

11j will not work as a straight on fit.
You will, and have to do a lot of arch work depending on "The Look" you want to achieve.
I have 10j RS's to go onto the cab come summer time, but will look exactly like the pic below, and those worked out to ET-3 irc.
It's not lowered as of yet, but you get the idea, these are RS 003's.

You will defo need arches chopped for anything that size. I run 11x17 front & 12x17 rear on my E36 cab and the same, but in 18's on my E30 and both have had major work so unless you have deep pockets dont go there.

This is my journal for the build of the E36 convertible so you know how much ball ache it was

I love my 9"s but I can't imagine 10"s & 11"s will drive too well. Anyone who drives my car moans about how it tries to follow the bumps in road and take the wheel out of your hands and that's with a 205 tyre!

Style before comfort anyday. I have to be on my toes on rough roads, but once you hit smooth roads like the Mway's it drives fine. In fact it drives better when you go fast than it drive when you driver slow because of the vibrations etc you get from the road and low profile tyres
