Help with Mtec 2 kit

Hi I have a 1989 325i conv with the mtec 1 body kit, I want to fit a mtec 2 kit instead Imbeing told I need to do alot of mods for the front bumper and rear bumper just needs the shocks can anyone tell me exactly what I need to get in order to get the kit fitted??? if possible ca you show me pics of the parts please so that I dont get bumped

Covers it all, you should not need to modify the rear bumper length as decried in this link.

No not the length but my bodyshop did need to trim the ends ever so slightly where the bumper meets the arch profile. Just a couple of mm for it to fit nicely

Most of the work involved in mine was repairing the side podAnanda getting them to fit so make sure you get a kit in a really good condition otherwise it's quite time consuming

original Tech II kits are not available new but they do come up for sale on here now and again

put a wanted add in the wanted section and keep your eye on the for sale section :)

i would say £500-£550 for a good full tech II kit

if your lucky you may get one £450ish

you can also get a fibreglass copy of the Tech II kit new from ebay which i think is around £350 and i think jim320i has one of them for sale at the minute
