ive got a cab and im kinda scratching my head as to what to put in the front an in the back to get a decent sound quality and have decent bass given the lack of space to fit speakers
ive 2 12" vibes for the boot but have hung off putting them in till i can sort out the rest
has anyone any tried an tested anything they can suggest?

I havent fitted them yet, but I have got some Vibe Black Air 5.25" for the front and rear and an MTX 12" sub to fit in the boot of my cab. Some people have built custom door builds for theirs, to manage to fit bigger components, but to be fair I didnt fancy cutting in to the door cards and the door itself to do this. As long as you have a decent set of components (the more expensive, the better usually with speakers but not always the case so read up on them before hand) and then run off a good amp and you shouldnt have to much trouble filling your cab with decent sound quality.

cheers for the advice, let me know how they sound if you put them in anytime soon, im not really wanting to start doing door bulids or nowt either thats why i wanted to see if anyone had done a set up before they thought was good, getting closer to summer so i want to get it done before the roof goes down, havnt had any tunes playing when ive had the roof down uptill now because the previous owners attempt at upgrading the speakers was a bit half arsed, wasnt all bad listened to the 6 pot insted
but want music this summer

This is an absolute bargain, I have these in the front and 10cm version in the back and sounds awesome just from a good headunit.

I've just picked up a cab for the summer and am doing the same head scratching!!!
Been looking around loads and i want it to be very stealth, so am definately just going to have 5.25's in the standard places, but components up front with the tweeter pods behind the mirrors.
I love JL stuff, but i had some components a few years back and the treble was quite harsh sounding - but i never really ran them in, so am considering giving something like those a try!
I've always loved DLS stuff in the past, 'cos they give such nice sounding vocals, but i've always had expensive ones and run them with subs!!!!!!!!!
Also keeping my eyes peeled on the talkaudio forum and ebay for some super high quality bargains - you'll get £300 components for £75 second hand!!!!
I'm also planning some bass for this car (components are never enough for me!!) and i'm thinking of keeping it inside the car, rather than in the boot!!
Was thinking a 6" sub, or maybe an 8" tucked away somewhere clever, but the more i look, the more i reckon i could get rid of the glovebox and put in a stealthy 10"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
