No point, it's from Wheelwhores as just a pic and not much of a writeup.

One could see the sense in this, perhaps, if they were 16", but for 15" BBS, why not just get the normal 4-stud ones?

What do these RS 244's look like? just done a quick search but cant find anything apart from this list
http://www.wheel-whores.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=726
Oh and i cant realy see the problem doing this if done 'correctly', cant be any worse than a multistud bk rep,
BBS's are made from good quality alloy
I wouldnt do it though

I wouldn't fuk up a BBS wheel for that, i'd go out and buy the bloody right one, oh I did

.
BBS RS 224 looks like any other BBS RS wheel Lee.
All it tells you by that number is basically the offset, wheel bolt size and centrebore size.

Complicated or what
Rav, the wheel you posted in the OP has the same fitment as the one's from RB (orginal holes)

technicaly yes, that is the right way of doing it. its far more common on older or yank stuff than over here on our new fangled bmws.

Bodge or not, it's certainly ingenious. I'd be interested to know more about the process of plugging alloys, out of interest. Anyone have any links?

That is actually one of the most correct way's to do it. The plug's don't heat up and warp the metal like welding would. Also they filled in all the holes, even the ones that don't interfere with the new holes, so that the wheel will balence out better.
