Blue vs Black (originality vs looks)

I am just about to start my project on this original cabby below. Just keeping it original. A slightly lower stance (and probably some split rims) as my only mods.

I may be changing the hood and as a newbie, I thought I would run a poll. I like the black hood because of the contrast but my goal was to maintain originality and keep the car as close as possible to its painstakingly maintained documentation.

So...

Blue hood or Black hood?

Both look good but I think you have answered your own question! You have strived to keep it original so keep it that way.

And you're poll seems to be missing! (or did you mean not to have the voting buttons at the top?)

Sorry Beemer, not an actual poll. Its more to get how people generally feel about the whole originality thing. I know there is a culture associated with this car and I kind of just wanted to see what people feel about how these vehicles should look. I don't want to be the one to ruin a good example of a minter.

I always think that if it is something you can put back (albeit not cheaply in this case) then you can tinker around and not worry about originality too much....

For looks, I'd go with Black personally.
