Im getting bored on my Mtech1 wheel. I feel its far too big , and its a little worn so its not amazing to grip any more.
I was thinking to just replace it with a nice condition Mtech2 wheel as i like the small but chunky stylie, feels ncie.
Although i then toyed with the idea of buying an Evo Sport wheel, the Mtech2 wheel but in suede.
Then i thought about somthing that wasnt Mtech at all, but still in suede (Gota love suede!)
I came across some simple, oldskool looking wheels from sparco, the nicest one i saw being this one.
the 285

From the pictures ive seen, it seems quite nice. Basic and fitting to an E30 i think.
So can anyone help me decide.
Do i spend 80 quid on a nice condition Mtech2.
Or do i give in to my Suede fetish, in which case, Evo wheel at around Ԛ£190
Or a simple but effective Sarpco Suede wheel at around Ԛ£80 new, plus the fitting boss (not sure how much theyd be)

Yeh i quite like that one as well. Only thing is, im not sure how it will look compared to a normal BMW wheel. As ill obviously have to use an adaptor to fit it.
I recon it would look quite good in there though. Being plain black and all.
Anyone know how much an adaptor kit would be? Cheap as chips if possible
A1BMW325iSport. Yeh i love the look of the Mtech2 one mate, although its just a case of finding a nice one for good money. Im also leaning towards suede lol, cant help myself

Don't get something too small as it gets in the way of the dials

www.motormec.co.uk have a selection of momo ones at really very good prices (for momo ;) ). I've ordered a millienium from there and with boss kit it came out at just under 200 inc delivery

i'd be very wary of that as it says that it fits e30/e36..........these are not compatible and one will not fit the other.
l'dnot recommned it and by looking at the wheel i would say that it came from an e36, so it will not fit the e30 boss

Hmm. Still not sure atm, cheers for the advice guys.
I do like the sparco ones but im trying to decide!
Good point Jimbob, i obviously dont want to obscure my vision of the dials, but id like quite a smallish wheel, at least Tech2 size. What would people recomend in terms of size? How big is the tech 2 one so that i can try and find a sparco one in similar size.
And what would people recomend for Boss kits? Nice and cheap lol
Or i might try and get a used Mtech2 and see if somewhere (and interior retrimer ) could suede it up for me.

I have a black e-tech engineering 330mm wheel. Not sueade, but a very nice wheel to hold, and kinda go-kartish where its that bit smaller.
Dosn't really get in the way of the dials at all.
You can't really see it there, i can get some better photos if you want.
Think you'll like the price to

So the best bet would be between 330mm and the mtech2 size. Anyone else know of any sizes smaller that would still be ok for viewing the dials.
Dan, wouldnt mind seeing some better pics of that wheel mate!

No worries mate, i'll get some pictures when i get home tonight for you.
For the price, can't really argue, and looks near enough the same as the sparco ones

Yeh, im still very tempted by the Tech2 ones, although i think im after somthing a little smaller for easier drifting, handling, love the feel of smaller wheels.
Dan, did you have to buy a Boss kit for that to fit mate? What one did you use. Im quite tempted by the E-tech Dynamic, just wish it was suede!

Ooo that looks pretty nice mate. Your convincing me!
Whats your opinion on the size, is it small enough, or do you think you could still use a smaller one for everyday driving and see the dials ok?
I might order one, only thing putting me off is its not suede lol.
How does it fit on mate?

Size is perfect mate, real go-karty. Suede is nice thought your right. Don't think i would want anything any smaller, its about the right size.
I didn't fit it, the previous owner did, i'll find out and let you know
Just looked at the pictures i posted again, damn i need some new mats!
