Lockwood White Dials

Please help me!!!! I keep getting these strange urges to buy a set if white dials for my E30. Am I mad or bad?

Mad! My mate had some in his rover 214 (enough said!) and they gave him an electric shock when he went to change the backlight colour! :S

they are a t*wt to see the numbers at night and you dont want that with the plod after anyone doing 2mph over the speed limit

If you do buy some don't go for lockwood, I've never seen a set that illuminate a night, on previous (non BMW) cars I've had 'Auto Tint Designs' dials, you have to remove the original black dials but at least they are backlit with two different colours like stock lights.

Go for the plasma dials instead.I've had the white ones and they are a nightmare to see at night.

OK, thanks lads. I'll keep on resisting the urge as long as I can. :roll: TBH, I can't be ar5ed to do my own, it's just when I see a fitted set on fleaBay.....

Mine went CREAM after a few months, and they were from Auto tint design, absolute waste of money imo.
Origional are the best.Change the internal surround, that makes a lot of difference. :cool:

they look cool but it depends if you want to keep your car original. Its a pity they weren't a factory option.

i got a set of blue/green plasma, with white face and red numbers , works fine , same colour as my head unit. they are like marmite , you like them or hate them???
