After fitting my OBC which works a treat my Kenwood KDC-3090R wont produce any sound from the speakers! Ive checked and double checked all the wiring and the unit lights up and plays cds or receives radio but nothing comes out of the speakers.
Its bewildering as I can understand losing 1 speaker but not all 4. Is there anything obvious that I have missed or is there a problem with the sterio itself?
Any help greatly appreciated as long journeys really do need some sound

The only thing I can think of is you've accidentally set it to send its signal via the RCA's and it's not using the built in amp - this is a feature on higher end alpine units, I'm not a kenwood user
Mute perhaps? Or maybe there's a seperate fuse for the amp, allowing the unit power but not the amp stage..

Take a normal 1.5V AA battery. Touch it on the speaker wires that you find behind the stereo( one wire + the other to -) The speaker will crackle. Repeat for all speakers, this proves the speaker and speaker wires are not the problem (also handy to identify the speakers) if this happens then the problem is with the stereo. So check its not on mute, then check the settings.
