E30 paint ... Sterling silber?!?
Moderator: martauto
Hi this one is for a mate. He has an e30 and wants to do some colour coding, he's been to halford's and they mixed him up some and the paint was poor quality. Does anyone know where to get a few cans for a reasonable price? It's silver and under the bonnet is says "BMW-SterlingSilber-Metallic" I take it that's the name of the paint? Appreciate the help guys

you can go to any local paint suppliers and tell them you want sterling silver metallic , BMW paint code 244
they should be able to supply the paint to match, and if they are a good place they can put the paint in a rattle can.
Halfords etc will just make generic silvers that are close.
but also note that silver is one of the hardest colours to match, so the problem could be with your mates car being dirty/requireing a polish rather then the paint being different.
