Hi, has anyone here tackled the job of fitting white dial faces to their instrument cluster gauges? If so how difficult is this job to do and what does the process involve? I've seen a few of these sets for sale on ebay from various sellers but wondered where others have purchased theirs from and recommend..?
Thanks.

i aint fitted them on my beema but did on my last vauxhall. i would recomend the new lockwood dials as they are a new fitment and you dont have to take the needles out. relatively quick to change and quite self explanitary.
hope this helps

i was in my local scrappy a couple of days ago and having ordered a set of chrome dial rings i stripped out an e30 cluster as practice. i learned that the rev counter needle comes off easily but i couldn't push it back on so it was as before. the speedo needle didn't want to budge. one of the 2 smaller dials to either side came away easily and i couldn't see how to replace the dial face or the needle. i wouldn't like to guess how the economy needle comes away....
so any replacement dial faces will have to cover those already there i guess. they'll have to slide over the needles - so this will require great care. i wouldn't like to guess how people red their needles - is this done with them in place with careful masking?

i put the white dials on mine the needles come of quite easy just prise them off with a little screw driver and then the new dials go on lovely. the needles i painted with my sons airfix paint just leave them to dty completly before fitting i rushed that part and had to take it all out again when my needle stuck to the post.

lol, been there! I used clear amber on the needles when i had some white dials a few year back. Dried fully but on very hot days it became sticky and i had to hit the top of the dash to get the needles to un-stick themselveshad to take it all out again when my needle stuck to the post
All good fun
Does no-one make reverse indiglo dials for the E30?
Matt
