E30 Zone

They seem quite cheap, but i was wondering if anyone has tried, and how difficult it was too install, and if it would be good platform to learn on. Im new at this, and i havent even gotten to drive my my 87 325i yet, since im still in iraq, and im doing as much research as i can...

waste of time, they arn't up to the job, and will fail, and at best when they do they'll only ruin themselves but at worst will knacker your engine miles from any where!

use the search reafture, this has been discussed before, and it will help you do more research. The parts you need arn't just available off the shelf unfortunatly.

i dont know of anyone thats actually used these and has slated them but theres plenty that will offer second or third hand opinions whether they be truethful opinions or just bandwagon guesses though is another matter entirely.

i think they are good value for money, however i would be looking for another turbo once i had done the install as you do get what you pay for when it comes to turbos.

it has been discussed that the grade and thickness of stainless is worth taking into consideration and also some bracing for the manifold where the turbo mounts.

there is a zoner using that manifold and i dont think he is that far from having it up and running.

First question,will that manifold fit a R/H drive car?

hi im using that manifold

and yea its a bit thin but ive made 3 supports
2 from the block up to the manifold to hold it up
and one from the t3 flange to the inlet ports on the exhaust manifold

also im gonna heat wrsp it too (once it comes thro the post)

tbh its very cheap so you carnt complain. it looks cool
so i recon if you do what i did it might be ok

ive just got my engine in today so gonna get the exhaust made up tomorrow

so ill be able to tell from there onwards

hi hass did you nee to relocate your oil filter with this manifold and didyou get it from america or here ? cheers gary

i also herd someone on the zone say that one of these kits is ok and one is choclate??
one is claming to be made of stainless 304 grade the other - SUS321 stainless steel
could any one shed some light on this ??

you want 304 grade stainless for that price you have to kidding me!!

ino it seems way to cheap , but on the other hand when you consider you can get garret gt series turbos in usa for half what you can here , gotta think about it

I like the way they did up the equal length manifold. It's way more effective than the turd of a "log" manifold. Even if it is a little cheap, it could be VERY useful with that manifold. I was considering buying just the manifold and composing everything else on my own.

just to clarify something there are turbos available from america that are very good ive run one on my old cosworth for 4000 miles at 22psi and it was still like new when i sold it. i have sold over 50 of them now from my current supplier and i havnt had 1 comeback yet

well when you consider its 600 quid for a whole turbo kit minus the management obviously a small amount of strengthening isnt too bad, a t3/t4 turbo is a good turbo as well, does anyone have any pics of this kit fitted to there cars, also if i were to be interested in it would import tax come into it?? thanks

cost at full rate =$1,200.00 =£577.151 GBP + carriage x 8% duty +17.5% vat
