Engine seized

What exactly happens when an engine seizes??? Can you do anything to it to bring it back to life???

Why has it seized? has it overheated, or lack of oil or oil pressure, or cam belt or chain broke?

Or hydrolocked? Did it involuntarily go scuba diving?

Well ive been told the car has been parked up for quite a while and it is a 2.7 engine have'nt purchased it yet.

Poor some diesel(sp?) down the spark plug holes, leave it over night to soak, then see if it will turn over with no spark plugs in.
Don't run/fire the engine until you've changed the engine oil as some of the diesel will find it's way past the rings into the sump which your bearings won't like.
This might get it going but it depends how bad it is.
