Almost there... NOW ON THE ROAD

As some will know, I have a long term project in the workshop, its Fowlers car and was taken on last sept( 13th) as a fill in job, the mission was as follows:
Build 2.7 all steel stroker bottom end around TD rods and internals with petrol suitable pistons- done
Fit Huuuge turbocherger- done
Fit VEMS standalone ECU setup and wasted spark with EGT and WB02 closed loop capability. - done
Today was the long awaited 1st run, the engine was completed in Nov last year, the rest was done in May and the VEMS parts were added between Friday and today( 16 hours total)
Pleased to report, its alive and kicking, needs mapping completed and running in ASAP but , at long last there's light @ the end of the tunnel for this one.
TBH, I've enjoyed every step, a "fill in" is just that, so can take a long time to complete but the upshot is the overall cost is reduced a little and the £Â£Ã‚£ is paid in stages upon completion, not ideal but for this one it suited the bill perfectly
I'll update this thread with some pix and stuff as and when
To all intents and purposes the engine is bombproof and then some, but if you've seen Fowler drive you'd understand why

This car is going to be a monster and it's been in the background too long.
Tell Ben not to kill himself in it!

so what up with this car then ???
no updates for a while and fowler posting and discusing other engines.......................................
Re:

Needs MOT/Tax and insurance Kos, the MOT I can sort as there's nothing wrong with the car, We even managed to fit a screenwasher tank back in lol ( toyota Hi-lux )
Starts, runs, drives
everything is buttoned up on the hardware and ECU/wiring side
Cold start and hot start mapping is done, starts pukka no issues to report.
Will update this thread once a green ticket has been issued, then after its legally allowed to be oin the road, she'll go off the the RR for some tweaking, need to find an airfilter yet though, 4" next no longer than 100mm long and no wider then 180mm, any ideas ? BMC do a 100/150 for F3 cars but that wont fit in the space available.

What's the run in you have to do - 1000 miles?
Then what? Oil change - MS adjustment - more boost?

yes 1000 miles then oil change then VEMS tuning and more boost and higher rev limit.
its all good.

they always tell you to run them in gently for the first 1000 miles or so but when youve been waiting for it a while there is no chance youll stick to it.
and they will know that themselves
