2.7 stroker running problem

Hey guys,

Finished my build off a little while ago and been having some issues with getting it to run properly.... hoping someone might be able to help. For starters here's whats been done.

JE Pistons 8.0:1 CR
Block work (bored + sleeved, rods shotpeened/resized, new bearings/seals)
325i head
325e block
PurePF Z45 Turbo cam (280dur)

Car started out as a 325e, so still has all the eta wiring/injectors/inlet mani/exh mani/TB/PCV .etc

Now the car starts ok, and idles fairly well, but as soon as I try to open the throttle body it bogs down, misfires. There is plenty of fuel as the plugs are soaked and still smell of fuel. I've checked timing 3 times (and i still may have it wrong), replaced spark leads, plugs. Checked for vacuum leaks.

When it misfires the exhaust manifold gets hot fairly quickly.

Can anyone help? Or experienced similar problems? I have a feeling it may be the motronic trying to run a modified motor and not agreeing with it.... it's booked in to my mechanic for next week, but if I can sort it before I go there it would save me some $ :)

Did you change the ECU chip to suit the new engine spec?

You should be looking into swapping to M30B30 electronics with lamda control.

The chip there should be similar to what you need.
Or at least a 325i controls.

But since you´r obviously running a turbo cam and low compression you should have tought ahead and
installed a standalone,

Gotta agree with gunni here, with that spec you're well out of the normal motronic parameters, I can supply a 2.7 specific chip in a few specs but given the CR and cam for FI, the standalone is the way forwards dude.

Got a MS1 PCB V3.0 waiting to go in, didnt really want to tune while trying to break in rings though :(

So is that 100% agreeance that Motronic is just simply not going to run this motor?
